WHAT EXACTLY IS T.A.T METABOLITE?
"T.A.T. Metabolite" stands for "Tyrosine-Adrenal-Thyroid Metabolite". T.A.T. Metabolite was perfected and trademarked by Mr. Jim Dews (a man of outstanding herbal knowledge and experience in herbal chemistry). T.A.T.Metabolite is an nutrient containing tyramine. Tyramine is a specific protein (an RNA/DNA complex) which is found in almost all foods in a proper diet. Certain foods are better sources than others, therefore, simply by choosing the right foods we can increase our intake of this nutrient in our diets.
Foods which are good sources of tyramine are: cheese (particularly Cheddar), beans (particularly broad beans) and peas. Conversely, by inadvertently choosing the wrong foods in our diet we can create a deficiency which could lead to many problems; the most noticeable being a lack of energy or the lack of being able to concentrate, since tyramine is nutritionally necessary to the normal functioning of the adrenal and thyroid glands.
The natural production of tyramine is a very important function of normal body metabolism. From the food we eat, the amino acid phenylalanine is metabolized into tyrosine (another amino acid). Tyrosine is then metabolized into dopamine. Dopamine is further metabolized into tyramine, and tyramine is the immediate precursor to the adrenal hormones (such as adrenaline) and the thyroid hormones (such as thyropsin and thyrotrophin ). For this process to take place, not only must you have enough of the starting materials such as phenylalanine or tyrosine in your diet, but your glands such as the adrenal and thyroid, plus others, must be functioning normally.
